The AGVs we present mainly refer to autonomous forklift trucks. Technologically, they belong to the category of AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), since they operate driverless, with full autonomy, and without the need for predefined routes.
Although the term AGV (vehicles following predefined guided paths) has prevailed in the market, today’s autonomous forklifts are in fact new-generation AMRs, designed for maximum efficiency and safety in internal material handling.
AGVs/AMRs are specially configured autonomous forklifts designed to transport pallets, cartons, or loads within warehouses and industrial facilities.
Using sensors, LiDAR systems, cameras, and intelligent navigation algorithms, they move with precision, detect obstacles, and adapt their routes in real time.
They connect seamlessly with WMS/ERP systems and integrate with other automated solutions (conveyors, robotic arms, shuttle systems), ensuring full alignment with warehouse flows.
