A landmark project for the Greek supply chain sector was recently completed by VOYATZOGLOU Group on behalf of the leading supermarket chain ELLINIKES YPERAGORES SKLAVENITIS S.A.

The project concerns the company’s new Storage & Distribution Center, with a total covered area of 75,000 sq.m., located in Ano Fousa, Aspropyrgos. This state-of-the-art facility replaces the existing warehouses in Spata and Elefsina, consolidating the entire distribution network into a single hub that will serve SKLAVENITIS stores across Southern Greece.

With a capacity of more than 85,000 pallet positions, it is the largest warehouse ever built for a supermarket chain in Greece. It also stands as the largest storage and distribution center in the country, and among the largest in Southeastern Europe.

VOYATZOGLOU Group undertook the study, design, and complete installation of storage systems including Back-to-Back and Pallet Flow with Picking Tunnel for pallet management, as well as Carton Flow for carton management (400 levels). This highly demanding project was successfully delivered thanks to the excellent coordination of specialized teams.

The project was completed within the agreed timeline, in just 5.5 months, confirming VOYATZOGLOU Group’s commitment to quality, reliability, and consistency.
