The VOYATZOGLOU Group designed, installed, and commissioned an advanced order picking and transfer system at Inter Cars’ central warehouse in Moschato, enhancing the processes of product management and distribution.

The new automated intralogistics system is based on a conveyor belt system, where pickers collect orders by work zone using scanning and place them into boxes (totes). Subsequently, the orders are transported via an automated network of roller conveyors either to the Inter Cars store located at the front section of the warehouse or to the distribution station, from where they are forwarded to the nationwide chain of stores.

Each stage of the process is interconnected with the WMS system, ensuring accuracy, speed, and control. The system is capable of handling 600 orders per hour, significantly optimizing workflow.

This new solution reshapes the warehouse operations by accelerating order fulfillment, reducing unnecessary movements and potential errors, while simultaneously upgrading the level of service for Inter Cars’ end customers.
